What we look for in the workshop

Start with the vehicle you have

A brake upgrade is a system decision. Pads create feel and heat behaviour; rotors, fluid, tyres and cooling affect repeatability. Bigger calipers are not automatically the best first move.

For a road car that sees occasional track days, choose a pad with predictable cold response and enough heat capacity. Fresh fluid and careful inspection are part of the plan.

A practical checklist

Questions worth asking

Discuss noise, dust, bedding-in and expected pad life before ordering. The best package balances confidence with the way you use the car the rest of the time.

01

Know the baseline

Record vehicle condition and current hardware.

02

Set a useful goal

Choose a result that suits your normal driving.

03

Check the whole system

Plan supporting parts and maintenance together.

04

Keep the paperwork

Save the agreed scope and service notes.
