What we look for in the workshop

Start with the vehicle you have

A dyno graph is a snapshot of a vehicle under particular conditions. The headline number varies with equipment, correction method, temperature and drivetrain. Treat it as a measurement, not a universal score.

Look at the curve from low and mid-range through the top of the rev range. Smooth delivery, consistent repeats and sensible temperatures help explain how the car will feel on the road.

A practical checklist

Questions worth asking

Compare before and after on the same dyno with similar conditions. Keep the vehicle specification and test notes with the graph so later changes have context.

01

Know the baseline

Record vehicle condition and current hardware.

02

Set a useful goal

Choose a result that suits your normal driving.

03

Check the whole system

Plan supporting parts and maintenance together.

04
