What we look for in the workshop

Start with the vehicle you have

A good remap begins with a healthy vehicle and a clear purpose. The ECU controls how the engine responds to airflow, fuel, ignition and load. Changing settings can improve response and torque, but the outcome depends on the engine, fuel and supporting hardware.

Start with a diagnostic scan and baseline logs. Define how the car is used and what improvement matters most. A calm daily tune and a track setup are not the same brief.

A practical checklist

Questions worth asking

Ask for a written scope, fuel requirements and an explanation of validation. Peak power alone does not tell you whether the car drives smoothly or stays within the intended limits.

01

Know the baseline

Record vehicle condition and current hardware.

02

Set a useful goal

Choose a result that suits your normal driving.

03

Check the whole system

Plan supporting parts and maintenance together.

04

Keep the paperwork

Save the agreed scope and service notes.
