What we look for in the workshop

Start with the vehicle you have

A turbo upgrade changes airflow and heat load across the engine system. A larger unit can raise the power ceiling, but may move useful response higher in the rev range.

Start with intended use and an honest assessment of the engine, fuel system and driveline. Select supporting hardware and calibration as one package rather than piecemeal guesses.

A practical checklist

Questions worth asking

Ask for a parts list, a realistic lead time and a staged plan. A good workshop explains trade-offs and which parts are needed from the start.

01

Know the baseline

Record vehicle condition and current hardware.

02

Set a useful goal

Choose a result that suits your normal driving.

03

Check the whole system

Plan supporting parts and maintenance together.

04

Keep the paperwork

Save the agreed scope and service notes.

A coherent build often feels faster and is easier to maintain than a collection of parts chasing a peak figure.
